Booking Through Thursday (Feb 23, 2012)

What do you look for when reading a book blog? Does the blogger has to read the same genre? Do you like reviews? Personal posts? Memes? Giveaways? What attracts you to a book blog? And what are your favorite book blogs?

I hate to admit this (and I have to be honest too) but what attracts me to a book blog is mainly giveaways. Everyone likes giveaway and contest. The opportunity to win some books, especially the ones you've been dying to read, is exhilarating. I will also look for memes that I can join to spice up my blog, as well as book reviews because even though I've been blogging for almost a year now, I still need some improvements on writing a good review. English isn't my mother tongue, so reading reviews from English-speaking book bloggers has helped me improved a lot. 

I don't have favorite book blogs, I like all book blogs to be honest because there's always something we can learn from each blog no what the blog looks like. And oh, whenever I visit a blog, I will always visit their 'About Me' page. Getting to know other bloggers (what books they like, where they come from, blog history, etc.) is a great way to maintain good connection, especially if you are a follower of a particular blog.
