Do you skip ahead in a book? Do you feel badly about it when you do?
I have skipped some pages in some of the books I read, due to several reasons but mostly because of its lousy plot and never-ending boring descriptions. And no, I never feel bad about it when I have to do it. If I feel that the book isn't worthy of my time, I wouldn't hesitate to not finish it either. The bottom line is, if an author doesn't care about writing a great story for his/her potential readers, I wouldn't be bothered to read his/her books too. The rule is simple.
Question based on this article, that asked, "Are you ashamed about skipping parts of books?". Booking Through Thursday is hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
